BlueBox Systems, a prominent player in airfreight visibility, has announced an expansion of its portfolio with the launch of Tradelane Intelligence. The new data analytics platform is designed to move beyond simple tracking, offering shippers and logistics providers the granular insights needed to optimise both operational and strategic freight decisions.

According to the press release, Tradelane Intelligence provides a broad and deep data foundation. The platform allows users to compare air and ocean carriers across a variety of critical metrics, including transit times, punctuality, and data compliance.

Martin Schulze, CEO of BlueBox Systems said, “With Tradelane Intelligence, we are creating a new level of transparency. Our customers gain access to a tool that goes beyond pure tracking and enables informed decision-making based on reliable real-time data.”

The platform introduces several specialised modules designed to tackle common logistics bottlenecks. The eco-routing & scope 3 targets module forecasts CO₂ emissions per route and carrier, enabling companies to align their logistics choices with corporate sustainability goals.

The demurrage and detention (D&D) management feature allows users to identify high-risk carriers and ports, integrate custom D&D rules and fee structures, and trigger alerts to prevent costly penalties before they occur.

For smooth cargo release, the Document Transfer Reporting function verifies the availability of required documentation in real-time, flagging missing paperwork well before a shipment reaches its destination.

Finally, Performance Benchmarking provides real-time analysis of carrier timeliness and status update reliability across specific trade lanes.

By integrating these disparate data points into a single interface, BlueBox Systems aims to provide a comprehensive real-time view of the transport process. Schulze views this as a vital step toward a fully data-driven supply chain, noting that the ability to identify performance potential is key to maintaining a competitive edge in today's market.
