AirLift Group, a UK-based controlled air charter capacity firm, has announced that it would be the new GSA for My Freighter.

"As a part of our joint venture arrangement and joint investment into a wide-body fleet with My Freighter, AirLift Group has taken a new role as a GSA and joint capacity management for this new addition to My Freighter," said the release.

On October 24, My Freighter announced the acquisition of its first Boeing 747 freighter. The Uzbekistan transportation and logistics company became the first in the country to operate the 747 freighter variant.

The company plans to purchase five additional 747 cargo jets in the near future, bringing the fleet to 20 planes in five years.

"We are proud to be working jointly with our partners at My Freighter and helping them to fulfil their ambition of becoming the gateway of air cargo in Central Asia, connecting the whole world,"said Grishin, CEO, AirLift Group.

My Freighter is one of the fastest growing firms in Uzbekistan and Central Asia. My Freighter, which operates a fleet of B767-300BCF and B747-200F cargo planes, provides first-class air charter services as well as trustworthy, timely, and cost-effective delivery to meet a wide range of customer needs.

Last month Boeing 747-281F was delivered to My Freighter at Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport (TAS). The aircraft had flown off from Jakarta, Indonesia, where it had been refurbished and properly inspected for maintenance flaws. The newly purchased asset will assist the airline in developing an aviation freight network connecting China, Southeast Asia, and Europe.

Because of the aircraft's long-range capabilities and huge payload capacity, the company will be able to deliver a large volume of cargo over very long distances. As My Freighter intends to establish a new Silk Road via Uzbekistan, linking commerce between the old East and West, the freighter will become a vital resource.

"Our partnership on widebody freighter capacity opens a new era in development for both companies serving our joint client base. This also will benefit Tashkent as one of the major air cargo hubs in Central Asia connecting South East Asian and China markets with Europe and the rest of the world," said the release.

The newly delivered aircraft is a production freighter with nose-door capability. It can transport up to 105 tonnes of cargo and is well-positioned to serve special project cargo.
