AeroLogic, a joint venture between DHL Express and Lufthansa Cargo, has appointed Marcus Niedermeyer as its new Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer. Niedermeyer took on the role on January 1, 2025, and will be responsible for finance, human resources, IT, and administration.

Niedermeyer has been serving in the position on an interim basis since July 2024. He succeeds Katharina Prost, who held the position from October 2022 to July 2024. Josef Moser, who has been Managing Director and Accountable Manager at AeroLogic since May 1, 2017, will continue to lead the company alongside Niedermeyer.

Niedermeyer brings over 29 years of professional experience to the role, including positions within and outside the Lufthansa Group. Prior to joining AeroLogic, he was Managing Director of Air Mail Centre Frankfurt GmbH from 2018 to June 2024.

Frank Bauer, Chief Financial Officer of Lufthansa Cargo, welcomed Niedermeyer's appointment, citing his extensive expertise and commitment to driving the company forward. Travis Cobb, EVP Global Network Operations and Aviation at DHL Express, also congratulated Niedermeyer on his new role, noting the importance of AeroLogic to DHL Express.

AeroLogic was established in 2007 as a joint venture between DHL Express and Lufthansa Cargo. The company is based at the Leipzig freight hub and operates a fleet of Boeing 777 freighters. Lufthansa Cargo markets the capacities of 18 Boeing 777 freighters, six of which are chartered by AeroLogic. AeroLogic also operates 16 Boeing 777F aircraft on behalf of DHL.
