          Lufthansa Cargo starts transpacific



          flight from Vietnam to US



                                                                ufthansa Cargo inaugurated its first direct transpacific
                                                             Lfreighter service from Asia to North America with flight
                                                              LH8019 taking off from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam on October
                                                              27, 2024 to Los Angeles, operated by its JV subsidiary AeroLogic.
                                                              The aircraft, with the identification D-AALO, had previously taken
                                                              off from Frankfurt for Vietnam on October 26, 2024.
                                                               With the new flight schedule, Lufthansa Cargo is now offering
                                                              customers 89 weekly B777F freighter connections worldwide. This
                                                              includes 50 frequencies to 17 destinations in Asia, reflecting the
                                                              strong demand in the region.
                                                               Lufthansa Cargo reported a 3,700 percent increase in operating
                                                              profit (adjusted EBIT) at €38 million for the third quarter of 2024.
                                                              Traffic revenue increased 17 percent to €731 million, revenue cargo
                                                              tonne kilometres increased 11 percent to 2.1 billion while capacity
                                                              was up five percent at 3.5 billion.
