ESBAAR has launched the Middle East’s first cargo drone-based transport service for the oil and gas industry, marking a major regional milestone in industrial logistics. The service was inaugurated with a successful first flight in Oman, signalling a move away from slow, ground-based transport towards faster, autonomous aerial logistics designed for demanding industrial environments.

The oil and gas sector faces persistent logistics challenges due to remote locations, harsh operating conditions, safety risks and time-critical operations. Traditional transport methods are often slow, costly and operationally restrictive. ESBAAR’s new cargo drone service has been developed to directly address these challenges by enabling aerial transport to sites that are difficult or risky to reach by conventional means.

The official launch represents a shift from conventional ground logistics to autonomous air-based transport built specifically for industrial use. According to the company, the solution is designed to support operations in high-risk and remote environments where speed and reliability are critical.

The inaugural flight was completed in partnership with MASAR Petroleum, using locally manufactured unmanned aerial systems developed by SINAN Advanced Industries. The successful operation highlights both technological progress and the growing role of local manufacturing and innovation within Oman’s industrial ecosystem.

By deploying cargo drones for operational transport, ESBAAR aims to enable faster and safer delivery of critical materials to oil and gas sites, while improving efficiency in locations that pose challenges for traditional transport.

The company said the launch is not a one-time achievement but the beginning of scalable, autonomous logistics solutions for Oman and the wider Middle East. As industries move towards more resilient and technology-driven operating models, drone-based cargo transport is expected to play a larger role in industrial logistics.

With this launch, ESBAAR positions itself as a provider of advanced drone solutions while supporting regional innovation efforts and the future development of industrial logistics.
