heyworld achieves a new milestone of handling 100,000 parcels daily

The digital cross-border e-commerce logistics solution-providing startup within Lufthansa Cargo Group – heyworld – has achieved a new benchmark in its daily operations by handling 100,000 import and export cross-border parcels in its Frankfurt e-commerce hub. Based in Frankfurt, this logistics solution provider was started as an internal project within the global Lufthansa Aviation Group.

In a recent social media post, the company's managing directors Boris Hueske and Nikola Todic shared a joint statement praising the team and support from customers, Frankfurt Airport and Lufthansa Cargo Group. "heyworld accomplished a significant milestone by successfully handling 100,000 daily import and export parcels in our Frankfurt e-commerce hub. This achievement demonstrates the exceptional capabilities of managing cross-border e-commerce shipments and the unwavering commitment to transforming Frankfurt into a flourishing e-commerce hub and a retailer's gateway to Europe. We have achieved our goal by the power of teamwork!"

The digital startup's achievement owes a significant credit to its access to Lufthansa Cargo's fleet of 17 Boeing 777F aircraft for long hauls and four Airbus A321F for short hauls, in addition to its passenger aircraft bellies and 2,150 road feeder service trucks. heyworld can offer same-day e-commerce deliveries within Europe and certain other medium-haul destinations, thanks to Lufthansa Cargo's fleet of A321F.

Lufthansa Cargo Group's logistical startup has demonstrated its ability to manage cross-border e-commerce shipments with five hubs in Europe, 400 flights per week with exclusive capabilities, and delivery to more than 300 destinations worldwide. Since its foundation in 2019, heyworld has shipped more than one million packages. The digital startup offers solutions from automated logistics hub management to transport dangerous goods, and transports 50% of its parcels via bellies of passenger aircraft.
