DHL Express launches new Singapore-US route via Japan operated by SIA

DHL Expres has commenced a new dedicated flight route between Singapore and the United States via Central Japan International Airport, operated by Singapore Airlines (SIA).

The routes will fly on the Boeing 777F bearing the joint livery of DHL and SIA, offering a maximum capacity of 102 tonnes.

In March 2022, DHL Express and SIA signed a crew and maintenance agreement to deploy five Boeing 777 freighters. Under the agreement, SIA operates new cargo routes between South Asia, North Asia and North America, based at Changi Airport in Singapore.

Together with the third freighter, the fourth freighter from Singapore arrived at Central Japan International Airport on October 11, 2023. It will operate five weekly flights at Singapore-Nagoya-Los Angeles-Honolulu-Singapore, and one weekly flight at Singapore-Taipei-Nagoya-Nagoya-Cincinnati-Honolulu-Sydney-Singapore.

It has consistently enhanced the network capacity, including the launch of DHL Air UK service in June last year and the increase in flights in September the same year. The Boeing 777 freighters are the world's largest, longest range, and most capable twin-engine freighters that also contribute to DHL’s sustainability goals, reducing CO2 emissions by 18 percent compared to the legacy B747-400s.”
