New air freight head for DHL Global Forwarding
Max Sauberschwarz, who currently holds the role of SVP Global StarBroker, DHL Global Forwarding’s air charter organization, is the new global air freight head.
He will assume the new role as of October 1, 2023, and will be reporting directly to CEO Tim Scharwath. In addition, he will also become a member of the Global Forwarding Management Board.
Thomas Mack, the current executive vice president air freight, will move into a new senior advisor role and will leave the company in October 2024 into retirement.

Max Sauberschwarz has more than 15 years of experience in logistics and has held several senior management roles in the air freight sector on global level as well as in Europe and Asia.
He joined DHL Global Forwarding in 2019 as senior vice president Global StarBroker.
