dnata breaks ground in Iraq on a $14 million cargo warehouse

The new 20,000-square-meter facility will significantly expand dnata's operations at Erbil International Airport (EBL).

The facility will be able to process 100,000 tonnes of cargo/year, including perishables, pharma and dangerous goods.

Jaffar Dawood, dnata's Senior Vice President for UAE and Iraq Airport Operations, recently laid the groundwork for the cargo storage, which is set to open in September 2024.

Jaffar Dawood: "Our new facility will incorporate cutting-edge technologies and the latest carbon reduction initiatives in design and operation, ensuring the highest level of operational and environmental efficiency for our customers."
