JD Logistics launches Phase 2 of largest intelligent logistics park
At the heart of the Kunshan Park is more than 80 state-of-the-art sorting lines and 10,000 intelligent sorting robots
Automatic sorting centre at JD Logistics Kunshan Asia No.1 Logistics Park
JD Logistics, the logistics division of JD.com, launched phase 2 of its Kunshan Asia No.1 Intelligent Logistics Park in Jiangsu province, China.
With a floor area of over 500,000 square metres, combined with the existing phase 1, JD’s Kunshan Park now stands as the world's largest intelligent logistics park, equipped with cutting-edge integrated warehousing and sorting capabilities. The facility is capable of sorting an industry-leading 4.5 million parcels per day, says an official release.

At the heart of the Kunshan Park is an automatic sorting centre with more than 80 state-of-the-art sorting lines and a fleet of 10,000 intelligent sorting robots, which ensure a sorting accuracy rate of 99.99 percent, says the release. "During peak seasons such as JD's 618 Grand Promotion, China's largest mid-year shopping festival, the sorting centre operates around the clock, processing over 4.5 million parcels per day. This five-fold increase in efficiency, compared to traditional methods, sets an industry benchmark, establishing the Kunshan Asia No.1 Intelligent Logistics Park as a global leader in logistics operations."
With the launch of phase 2, JD's logistics network now ensures over 93 percent of retail orders from the East China region, spanning Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, and Anhui, can be delivered same-day or next-day, covering a population of 200 million people, the release added.
On June 14 at 2:05 am, a box of freshly caught hairy crabs from Suzhou was shipped from Kunshan Park, which became the 10 billionth parcel processed by the facility.
