DHL Global Forwarding appoints Aditi Rasquinha as Greater China CEO

Aditi Rasquinha takes over from Steve Huang, who retired after more than 30 years of service with the DHL Group. "Returning to DHL feels like coming home. We have many opportunities to do more in this region, especially with our launch of the EV Centre of Excellence in Shanghai."

The Shanghai EV Centre of Excellence specialises in integrated end-to-end logistics for EV products, including batteries, electric motors and charging infrastructure. It has a dedicated team of specialists to ensure efficient handling, storage and transportation while meeting the unique needs of the EV sector.

DHL reported a 5% increase in air freight volumes at 437,000 tonnes for the second quarter of 2024 but gross price declined to €561/unit from €711/unit. Revenue increased 4% to €1.5 billion but gross profit was down 16.9 percent compared to the same period last year.
