Wizz Air adds new route to Georgia

Sept 16, 2016: Hungarian airline Wizz Air is now offering two weekly flights from Berlin Schönefeld to Kutaisi in Georgia. It has been operating flights Schönefeld since March 2016 – until now, offering connections to Skopje in Macedonia and Cluj-Napoca in Romania.

The four-hour flights are scheduled every Monday and Friday.

The flights to Kutaisi will be followed by the addition of a new destination in December: Tuzla in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

All routes will be served by Airbus A320 aircraft.

“Wizz Air is adding to Berlin’s flight schedule. In addition to Cluj-Napoca in Romania, the airline is now also flying from Schönefeld to another new and exciting destination: Kutaisi in Georgia,” says Karsten Mühlenfeld, chief executive officer of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH.

Wizz Air is the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, operates a fleet of 73 Airbus A320 and Airbus A321 aircraft, and offers more than 450 routes from 25 bases, connecting 127 destinations across 38 countries.
