July 06, 2016: AeroGround, Munich Airport’s ground handling company, is celebrating its fifth anniversary in Munich and the first full year of operations by AeroGround Berlin in Schönefeld this year.
In 2016, AeroGround in Munich was also granted certification under the ‘Safety Audit for Ground Operations’ (ISAGO) by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which sets uniform worldwide safety standards for ground handling.
Since 2013, AeroGround has also been a founding member of the European ground handling network ‘ground.net’ with more than 60 stations in eleven countries.
With the start of business operations at the Berlin-Schönefeld and Berlin-Tegel airports over the past twelve months, the company has established its first handling locations outside Munich and successfully implemented the expansion strategy launched in 2013.
“The past five years have been very successful, marked by continuous development and many changes, backed by a highly committed workforce. This enables us to provide outstanding quality in all of our services,” said Siegfried Pasler and Christian Stoschek, the managing directors of AeroGround.
AeroGround was founded in 2011 as an independent subsidiary of Flughafen München GmbH as part of the reorganisation and restructuring of ground handling services.
