May 11, 2016: Air Canada Cargo, Canada’s largest provider of air cargo services has renewed its agreement for the cloud-based Unisys Logistics Management System (LMS) to manage its domestic and international air cargo services, as well as Unisys’ Cargo Portal Services and In-transit Service Manager.
A long-time Unisys client and active member of the Unisys Cargo User Group (UCUG), Air Canada was one of the earliest adopters of Unisys cloud services in 1997. The carrier conducted a full evaluation of options before choosing the speed and flexibility of Unisys’ LMS solution. The cloud-based delivery model includes monthly updates and faster speed-to-market than traditional software operation.

As part of the extension, Unisys and Air Canada Cargo are also collaborating to bring new initiatives to LMS designed to create commercial and operational business benefits for the carrier.
