LAN and TAM to be the official airlines of 2015 Copa America

Santiago, January 27, 2015(STAT):- With the start of Copa America 136 days away, LATAM Airlines Group signed a deal to become the official group of airlines of Latin America’s main international soccer tournament, organized by CONMEBOL, which will be held in Chile between June 11 and July 4 of this year.

During this 44th edition of the tournament, the airline members of LATAM Airlines Group will transport thousands of passengers from various corners of the world to enjoy the oldest international soccer competition contested between men’s national teams in the world.

“LATAM Airlines Group and its related carriers, the leading airlines in the region are excited to become the official group of airlines for Copa America and to support the sport during the most important event of the continent in 2015. Just as the airline members of LATAM Airlines Group offer the best connectivity to and from South America, LAN in Chile also offers the best connectivity,” says Jerome Cadier, VP of Marketing LATAM Airlines Group.

Currently, LATAM Airlines Group and its related carriers have the largest network in the region, reaching more than 115 destinations in South America; the group will be the most used means of transportation for all those traveling to Chile to attend this tournament.
