Mr. Fuerst is Vice President of Marketing and sales for the JV Airbus Freighter Conversion GmbH (AFC) since July 2007.The JV for Airbus P2F solutions was found in June 2007 and consists of the shareholders UAC, Irkut from Russia (50%) and EADS EFW, Airbus (50%).

He is responsible for the marketing and sales activities as well as for the customer contracts and related services for the A320/A321 P2F freighter conversion programme.

He joined Airbus in 1986 and held various management positions in product management, quality, engineering and customer services.

Before joining AFC, he spent 4 years with Airbus China Customer Services in Beijing as the General Manager, responsible for Spares and Technical Support and the JV Airbus/CASC Support Centre.

Mr. Fuerst holds a Diploma degree in Industrial Engineering from the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences.
