Mr. B.C. Khatua, belonging to the Indian Administrative Service, 1976 batch, took over as the Chairman, Forward Markets Commission of India on 31st May 2007. Mr. Khatua is an MBA in Development Finance & Accounting from Birmingham University, U.K. He also holds another MBA degree in Financial Management from the Mumbai University, India. He was posted as Commissioner of Sales Tax of Maharashtra before taking over as Chairman, FMC. Mr. Khatua has wide experience in public administration in the fields of infrastructure, urban development and industry and has handled prestigious assignments in the Government such as Administrator & Municipal Commissioner Nashik Municipal Corporation, Principal Secretary to the Government of Maharashtra and Textile Commissioner, Government of India.
